Sage

Supported accounting providers

Connect TotalDrive to Sage to keep your driving instructor records organised and ready for your accounting workflow.

Sage for driving instructors works best when you treat setup as a one-time job. First, connect securely in TotalDrive. Next, map your income and expense categories to Sage reporting categories so the data matches your reports.

Then, when you are ready for deadlines, you sync transactions manually. Because syncing is manual, you can review the results before you submit figures to your accountant or partner workflow.

If you prefer a file workflow, export a CSV of income and expenses anytime from TotalDrive.

Prefer a file export instead? You can also export a CSV of income and expenses.

Sage for driving instructors: how the connection works (connect, map, sync)

  1. Connect: In TotalDrive web admin, choose Sage and click Connect. You’ll be redirected to Sage to authorise access.
  2. Map categories (one-time setup): Match your TotalDrive income/expense categories to Sage reporting categories.
  3. Sync transactions (manual): Transactions are not automatically synchronised. You manually sync whenever you want (for example monthly, or before quarterly submissions).

Transaction compliance & audit integrity: Once a transaction has been synchronised to Sage, it becomes locked in TotalDrive and can no longer be edited.
