Connect TotalDrive to QuickBooks to keep your driving instructor records organised and ready for your accounting workflow.
QuickBooks for driving instructors works best when you treat setup as a one-time job. First, connect securely in TotalDrive. Next, map your income and expense categories to the QuickBooks reporting categories so everything lines up correctly.
After that, you control the workflow. Then, when you are ready for your reporting deadlines, you sync transactions manually from TotalDrive. Because syncing is manual, you can review the results before you submit figures.
If you prefer a file-based workflow, you can also export a CSV of income and expenses anytime.
QuickBooks for driving instructors: how the connection works (connect, map, sync)
- Connect: In TotalDrive web admin, choose QuickBooks and click Connect. You’ll be redirected to QuickBooks to authorise access.
- Map categories (one-time setup): Match your TotalDrive income/expense categories to QuickBooks reporting categories.
- Sync transactions (manual): Transactions are not automatically synchronised. You manually sync whenever you want (for example monthly, or before quarterly submissions).
Transaction compliance & audit integrity: Once a transaction has been synchronised to QuickBooks, it becomes locked in TotalDrive and can no longer be edited.
